The pace-setting global Islamic society, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), is set to make another bold mark in youth empowerment through its signature sporting event, the NASFAT Games (NASGA). With more than 30 years of existence and over 360 branches worldwide, NASFAT continues to merge faith with social impact, inspiring young people to thrive through discipline, creativity, and resilience.
The much-anticipated NASGA 4.0 is scheduled to take place from 7th to 13th September 2025 at Fountain University, Osogbo. This edition promises to be a grand convergence of energy, innovation, and athletic skill, while reinforcing the value of sports as a vital tool for unity, peace, and national development.
A total of 12 zones will participate, including Headquarters, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Lagos Zones 2 and 3, Oyo Zones 1 and 2, Osun, North West Zone 1, North East, South-South, and Fountain University. The Diaspora Zone and the Ahmadiyya Islamic Society will also join, widening the scope for collaboration and cultural exchange.
The tournament will feature 10 sports categories across 47 medal events. From football, basketball, and volleyball to indoor and mental sports like chess and scrabble, as well as badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, tug of war, and track and field, NASGA 4.0 will showcase wide-ranging talent and excitement.
With more than 3,500 athletes expected, the Games are not only a display of skill but also a breeding ground for future stars who can proudly represent Nigeria and Africa on larger global platforms.
President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, affirms that “NASFAT Youth are the useful youth — triumphing in their chosen professions and vocations, while standing as true ambassadors of faith, excellence, and service.” His words reflect the society’s confidence in its next generation.
In the same spirit, National Youth Secretary, Prince Tajudeen Olasupo, stresses that “while NASFAT continues to build members spiritually, the society also invests in the mental and physical fitness of its youth, ensuring their holistic growth and leadership readiness.”
Indeed, the NASFAT Games (NASGA) have evolved far beyond competition. They now stand as a powerful celebration of youth, discipline, and innovation — an inspiring model of how sports can shape character, deepen unity, and meaningfully contribute to national development.
