The Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) is actively engaged in constructing a significant mosque and Islamic center along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, specifically in Aseese village. This ambitious project is estimated to cost N2.5 billion and aims to create a comprehensive Islamic heritage center. The mosque is designed to accommodate up to 6,000 worshippers, with 3,000 inside the main hall and an additional 3,000 in the outer extension.
As of March 2022, NASFAT had expended over N400 million on the project and initiated fundraising efforts to secure the remaining funds. The society encourages well-meaning individuals, especially Muslim faithful, to contribute, emphasizing that building a mosque offers rewards both in this world and the hereafter.
The Chief Missioner of NASFAT has highlighted that the Islamic center is intended to serve not only Muslims but also non-Muslims. It will provide a place for people to learn about Islam, engage in spiritual activities, and strengthen community bonds.
