The pace-setting global Islamic organisation, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), has extended heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the entire Ododo family, following the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who died on Monday at the age of 83.
In a condolence message, the President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, sympathised with the Governor and described the late patriarch as a devout Muslim who lived a fulfilled life of integrity, faith, and service to humanity. He noted that the loss, though deeply painful, should be a moment of reflection on the enduring values the late Alhaji Ododo represented.
The Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, also offered fervent prayers for the repose of the soul of the departed. He prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his righteous deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, while also asking Allah to strengthen the Governor, his family, and the people of Kogi in this time of grief.
NASFAT acknowledged the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo as a respected figure whose life touched many within his community and beyond. His legacy, the Society noted, will continue to inspire uprightness, devotion, and family values across generations.
While urging the Governor and people of Kogi to remain steadfast, NASFAT reaffirmed its solidarity, compassion, and prayers for them. The Society pledged continuous support and prayed Almighty Allah to envelop the family and state in His mercy, fortitude, and peace.
