NASFAT Launches N10 Million Relief Fund for #EndSars# victims
Following the several destructions and loss of business that followed the EndSARS protests in Nigeria, the society launched a N10 Million relief fund for members who fell victims of the loss.
Many people’s offices and shops were looted or burnt including those of some NASFAT members who were rendered incapable of meeting their feeding and upkeep obligations. It was expected that the relief fund for those who are seriously affected would help to boost back their financial capabilities in the Society. The Youth Wing of the Society was mandated to raise and disburse the fund accordingly since the protest was initiative of youths in Nigeria.
NEC Approval of N10M
The society disbursed N10m (specific donation by a non-member) to 569 members (of which 58.5% were female) selected from 186 Branches and Groups across 18 Zones and HQ as Livelihood Support.
Women’s Week Empowerment
In November 2020, over 2000 women were empowered in various skills at the headquarter and zones.
