To play her part in the fight against poverty and hunger, improvement in access to health care, education, justice and jobs, promotion of inclusive and sustained economic growth, while protecting our planet from environmental degradation; The Youth Wing of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society is organising the Maiden NASFAT Youth SDGs Summit with the theme - "Factivism".

The summit which will coincide with the 5-year journey milestone of the SDGs adoption will hold virtually (zoom webinar) on Saturday, 26th September 2020 between 10am - 1:30pm (GMT+1). The Summit will provide an opportunity to be involved in accelerating the progress on the 17 Goals while improving youth commitment to fighting extreme poverty through well-tested programs.

The goal of the summit is to raise awareness and unleash the full potential of the youth to deliver the SDGs in the next decade. The programme will feature presentations, panel sessions and a technical workshop session on volunteerism. Each of the sessions is to be facilitated by seasoned speakers who will share their knowledge towards attaining the SDGs target by 2030.

Delivering the Keynote and Opening lecture will be Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy on the topic "Young People's Role in Driving Digital Trends to achieving SDGs". The summit will also be showcasing members impacting positively in areas of SDGs.

With the pledge to Leave No One Behind, Everyone is needed to reach these ambitious targets; hence it will also provide a platform to advance NASFAT four (4) priorities of HELD: Health, Education, Livelihood and Dawah (#NASFATHELD) which are also encapsulated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the end of the summit which would be attended by stakeholders in NASFAT and about 1000 youths, both Muslim and non-muslim, it is expected to raise New set of Youths that will be Advocates of these sustainable goals, draw attention to the state of the Goals’ progress and the actions needed from everyone during this Decade of Action to deliver the Goals by 2030.
